Watershed Raises $100 Million at $1.8 Billion Valuation

Watershed is the emissions-tracking startup that is transforming the way companies measure, manage, and reduce their environmental footprint. The company offers a comprehensive suite of software tools that enable businesses to accurately measure their carbon emissions across their entire supply chain. By collecting data from various sources, including energy usage, transportation, and manufacturing processes, Watershed provides companies with real-time insights into their environmental impact.

Watershed has raised $100 million in a Series C round, bringing the company’s valuation to $1.8 billion. The new round was led by Greenoaks, with participation from existing investors, including Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia Capital, Elad Gil, Emerson Collective, Galvanize Climate Solutions, Neo, and others.

Watershed, San Francisco, California, United States, was founded in 2019 by Avi Itskovich, Christian Anderson, and Taylor Francis. “Corporate climate action is accelerating. Companies of all sizes and sectors are making sustainability a board-level priority, and we are supporting them as they work to measure, report, and reduce their emissions. This new investment will bolster our mission to accelerate the climate economy,” noted Watershed co-founder Taylor Francis.
