Replit is an AI software development platform that helps users write code faster and more intuitively. The platform stands out with vibe-coding tools tailored for non-technical users in enterprise settings. Its AI agent can create full-stack applications from scratch based on a simple natural-language description, automating environment setup, integrating APIs, and streamlining workflows. A built-in visual editor allows direct UI edits in a live preview, making the design-to-app process seamless.
Replit has raised $250 million in a new funding round, bringing the company’s valuation to $3 billion. The funding round was led by Prysm Capital and included strategic investors such as Google’s AI Futures Fund and Amex Ventures. Additionally, existing investors, including Andreessen Horowitz and Coatue, increased their participation.
Replit, headquartered in Foster City, California, United States, was founded in 2016 by Amjad Masad, Faris Masad, and Haya Odeh. In 2023, the company joined the unicorn club. “There’s a lot of competition for software engineers, but we’re seeing that people who are able to use Replit are from every part of the enterprise, from sales, HR, to operations, and that has helped them with product development cycles,” said Replit CEO Amjad Masad. The company plans to use the new funding to invest in research and development, as well as sales and marketing.
