Apptronik to Raise New Funding at a $5 Billion Valuation

Apptronik is at the forefront of humanoid robotics, specializing in developing general-purpose humanoid robots designed to work safely and efficiently alongside humans. Its flagship product, Apollo, is a human-sized, 5’8″, 160-pound robot capable of lifting up to 55 pounds. Apptronik’s technology is built on a foundation of proprietary actuator technology and a modular, human-centric design, and its robots are designed to address labor shortages and improve operational efficiency across various industries.

The company is raising a new funding round at a post-money valuation of $5 billion. The new funding reflects Apptronik’s strong market position and the surging investor interest in the humanoid robotics sector. With the new capital, Apptronik aims to scale up the commercial production of its Apollo robot to meet customer demand and broaden its applications into new sectors like elder and healthcare.

Apptronik, headquartered in Austin, Texas, United States, was founded in 2016 by Jeffrey Cardenas, Nicholas Paine, and Bill Helmsing. In April 2025, the company joined the unicorn club. Apptronik has secured key partnerships with industry leaders, including Google DeepMind for AI integration, Mercedes-Benz for manufacturing pilots, and NVIDIA for its Project GR00T initiative.
