Harmonic is an artificial intelligence lab that is pioneering the development of Mathematical Superintelligence, a technology rooted in formal logic and mathematics. The company’s core mission is to solve the problem of AI “hallucinations”—incorrect or nonsensical answers—by improving models’ ability to reason with guaranteed accuracy.
Harmonic has joined the unicorn club after closing a $120 million Series C funding round, bringing the company’s valuation to over $1.4 billion. The round was led by Ribbit Capital, with participation from Sequoia Capital, Index Ventures, Kleiner Perkins and Emerson Collective.
Harmonic, headquartered in Palo Alto, California, United States, was founded in 2023 by Vlad Tenev and Tudor Achim. “Aristotle’s gold-medal performance at the IMO offered an early glimpse into what Mathematical Superintelligence makes possible with advanced reasoning and formal verification together in a single system,” said Tudor Achim, co-founder and CEO of Harmonic. “This funding allows us to advance that foundation even further and faster, while aggressively deploying Aristotle across industries where reliability is critical.”
