Pepperfry Raises $23 Million in Fresh Funding


Pepperfry is a furniture marketplace that offers an extensive range of furniture and other home products, including mattresses, dining and bar furniture, carpets, appliances, garden and outdoor. Pepperfry has raised $23 million in a new funding round led by existing shareholders, including institutional investors and family offices. The fresh funding will help the company to strengthen its supply chain and invest in tech led innovation. Besides the fundraise, Pepperfry also announced elevation of its cofounder Ashish Shah as the new CEO.

Pepperfry, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, was founded in 2012 by Ambareesh Murty and Ashish Shah. “In the past few months, Pepperfry has undertaken several initiatives that have set the company towards a sustained path to profitability, a milestone that is now within close reach,” the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
