Volt Raises $60 Million at a Valuation of Over $350 Million

Volt is a leading open banking fintech that builds the global infrastructure for real-time payments. Volt mobile app allows users to link all their bank accounts in one place, giving them a complete overview of their finances. This means they can see all their balances, transactions, and spending habits in one place, making it easier to manage their money.

Volt has raised $60 million in Series B round funding, which will be used for international expansion and to expand its product line. The company’s valuation is reported to be over $350 million.

Volt, London, England, United Kingdom, was founded in 2019 by Jordan Lawrence, Steffen Vollert, and Tom Greenwood. Currently, the company is active in the U.K., Europe, and Brazil, regions that have put some open banking structures in place and are seeing a lot of banks moving to build and enable APIs. Altogether, there are some 70 countries that now have open banking, account-to-account structures in place, but there is little in the way of harmonization in standards, allowing companies like Volt to build out international payments that work across those borders.
