VNG Looks to Raise $100 Million Funding

VNG is Vietnamese leading internet company. The company’s businesses include online games, payment, and cloud services. Many products developed by VNG have attracted hundreds of millions of users, such as Zalo, ZaloPay, Zing MP3, and 123phim. VNG’s e-commerce platform, called Tiki, is one of the biggest online marketplaces in Vietnam, and the company’s social media platform, called Zalo, is one of the most popular messaging apps in the country. VNG became Vietnam’s first unicorn startup.

VNG Corp is looking to raise $100 million in a fresh funding round. In total, the company has raised $500 million till that moment. 

VNG, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, was founded in 2004 by Bryan Pelz and Hong Minh. VNG started as a gaming company, and it quickly became one of the most popular game developers in Vietnam. VNG’s games, which include titles like ZingPlay, Vo Lam Truyen Ky, and Kiem The, are all incredibly popular in Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. The company has since expanded into other areas of tech, including e-commerce, social media, and digital payments.
