Tata Neu is a multi-purpose app designed to provide customers with an extensive and highly personalized shopping experience. Moreover, the app provides delivery services, online shopping, UPI payments, flight and hotel bookings. A lot of brands and companies like Bigbasket, AirIndia, Air Asia, Cromā, IHCL, Starbucks, Tata 1Mg, Tata CLiQ, Tata Play, and Westside are a part of this app.
Fast forward to today, Tata Group is considering injecting another $2 billion of fresh capital into its super app venture, as the salt-to-software conglomerate intends to bolster its digital business. As part of the fresh round cash injection, Tata Group has asked Tata Digital to also look for ways to boost the valuation of the app. The deal remains unclear, the size and timeline have not been formalized yet.
Tata Neu, Mumbai, India, was launched on 7 April 2022 by Natarajan Chandrasekaran. In its first month of operations since launching the app, Tata Neu has clocked gross sales in the range of $120-$150 million. The company also intends to further integrate Vistara, Titan, Tanishq, and Tata Motors into the app.
