Cabify is an on-demand transportation and delivery platform that connects individuals and businesses with the means of transportation that best suit their needs. The company is Spain’s first-ever Unicorn company and has spread to Latin America. Currently, Cabify has more than 1,000 employees and creates self-employment opportunities for hundreds of thousands of driver partners, supporting local talent in all our markets.
Cabify has secured $110 million in funding from a mix of equity and debt. The equity portion comes from Orilla Asset Management, AXIS, and other unnamed investors. The company intends to use the fresh funding to expand its existing footprint and its technology stack, and to bring more electric vehicles into its fleet.
Cabify, Madrid, Spain, was founded in 2011 by Juan de Antonio, a Spanish entrepreneur and telecommunications engineer. “This commitment from strategic investors is a recognition of Cabify’s positive impact and potential to continue creating long-term value for our investors and the cities in which we operate,” noted Juan de Antonio, CEO of Cabify. “These are partners who share our vision for the sustainable mobility industry and will enable us to accelerate the delivery of our strategic plan.”
