Voyah Raises $701.5 Million at a $4.21 Billion Valuation

Voyah is a premium automobile manufacturer that specializes in electric vehicle design and development. The brand is a luxury division of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, a Chinese State-owned carmaker. These two concepts were disclosed at the brand launch: the Voyah i-Land coupe and the Voyah i-Free crossover.

Among the eleven investors of the Series A funding round is the Mixed Reform Fund, the investment units of China’s major commercial banks; Industrial and Commercial Bank of China; Bank of China Financial Asset Investment; battery maker, Sunwoda Electronic Co; and Ganfeng Lithium, lithium chemicals maker for electric vehicle batteries.

Voyah, China, the brand division of Dongfeng Motors Group was founded in 2020. It started with the launch of the first model “Voyah Free”, an electric five-seater SUV. In the first 10 months of this year, more than 16 000 units were sold. The number is more than five times higher than a year ago. Besides, this year, Voyah claimed to launch delivery in Norway, its first market abroad. Except for “Voyah Free”, the company also produces the “Voyah Dreamer” model, an all-electric hybrid minivan.
