project44 Raises $80 Million at a $2.7 Billion Valuation

project44 is a logistics technology company that provides a supply chain visibility platform to span the entire shipment workflow. It accelerates insights and shortens the time to turn them into actions, by connecting, providing, and automating visibility into key transportation processes. With project44’s help, companies can increase efficiency, improve shipment performance, reduce cost, delivering a perfect experience to their clients.

The funding round was led by Generation Investment Management and A.P. Moller Holding. Existing investors Goldman Sachs Asset Management (“Goldman Sachs”), TPG, Emergence Capital, Chicago Ventures, Sapphire, 8VC, Sozo Ventures, and Omidyar Technology Venture participated in the round. As well as CMA CGM.

project44, Chicago, USA, was founded by Jett McCandless and Wally Ibrahim in 2014. “When uncertainty from supply chain disruptions, inventory costs, and economic policy is at an all-time high, project44 continues to deliver lasting business value to our customers,” said Jett McCandless, CEO of project44. As of now, the company’s client base consists of more than 1200 companies. Project44 has 23 offices that are located in Amsterdam, Paris, Kraków, Shanghai, São Paulo, Tokyo, etc. Among the plans for new funding is investment in supply chain emissions mitigation initiatives in all modes of transportation.
