LinkTree is a startup that provides e-commerce stores and influencers with a platform for the internet presence enhancement in social media such as Facebook, Twitch, YouTube, and Instagram. The system enables users to create a microsite for their digital ecosystem. The platform simplifies the e-commerce internet economy as well as allows influencers and businesses to curate, grow, and sell more.
The funding round was led by Index Ventures and Coatue Management. Greenoaks Capital, AirTree Ventures, and Insight Partners also took part in the round. The new capital will be used for additional geographic expansion, revenue streams, recruitment, new partnerships, and tools.
LinkTree, Melbourne, Australia was founded by Alex Zaccaria, Anthony Zaccaria, Nick Humphreys in 2016. The company started as the one to solve the problem of Instagram users as it does not allow them to include links in the post, now it is a broader platform that can unify the client’s ecosystem and democratize digital presence. “We are quickly growing beyond the traditional ‘link-in-bio’ company, connecting users’ fragmented online presence and establishing our position as a new sub-sector of the tech industry,” Alex Zaccaria, CEO said. Among the LinkTree platform users are Shopify, Wix, Zapier, Chicago Cubs, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
