Personio Raises $270 Million at $6.3 Billion Valuation for Recruitment Industry

Personio is a start-up that provides its clients with solutions in human resource management. The service gathers all the information about the recruitment process, salary, vacation, and sick days, as well as employees’ documents and reports on the cloud.

The recent round was led by Greenoaks, Altimeter Capital, and Alkeon. Among other investors were already participated Index Ventures, Accel, Meritech, Lightspeed, Northzone, and Global Founders Capital. With the fundings, the startup valuation increased three times in comparison with the previous round.

Personio was founded in 2015 by Hanno Renner with Arseniy Vershinin, Ignaz Forstmeier, Roman Schumacher in Munich. As of now, the company has 5000 customers, small and medium-sized companies. The main Personio focus is on speeding up the HR processes in the enterprises. Moreover, this service allows streamlining automation with such companies as Slack, Salesforce, and Microsoft Teams. “We are essentially digitizing the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment to onboarding, employee development, payroll…and when different people in a business will interact with HR to request an absence or a payslip,” says Hanno Renner.
