Orca Security Raises $550 Million at $1.8 Billion Valuation for Cyber Security Industry

Orca Security is the cybersecurity start-up that helps companies to protect cloud-based information. The start-up is able to identify vulnerabilities that can threaten the security of the client’s data. Among potential vulnerabilities are malware, weak passwords, high-risk data, etc.

The funding round Series C was led by Temasek Holdings Ltd. Among other investors were CapitalG, Redpoint Ventures, GGV Capital, and Iconiq Capital. Also, companies from the USA – Adams Street Partners, Lone Pine Capital, Stripes, Willoughby Capital, and Harmony Partners. With the money invested, Orca Security is going to expand, focusing on rapid global development.

Orca Security was started in 2019 by Gil Geron and Avi Shua. The company is headquartered in 2 cities – Los Angeles and Tel Aviv. Among Orca Security clients are Autodesk, News Corp., Duolingo, and Paidy Co. The company’s mission is to provide companies with easy and cost-effective tools for security issues in Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Avi Shua claims that “the reason for the growth – is the simplicity of the solution provided”.
