Ninja Van Raises $578 Million at more than $1 Billion Valuation for Tech Industry

Ninja Van is a Southeast Asia logistic provider. The company focuses on delivery solutions for business. Ninja Van connects six countries – Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

In the new funding round investments came from several backers. Among them are Alibaba Group, DPDgroup’s GeoPost, Facebook co-founder Eduardo Savering’s B Capital Group, Monk’s Hill Ventures, and Zamrud. This funding helps Ninja Van to reach unicorn status.

Ninja Van was founded in 2014 by Lai Chang Wen, Shaun Chong, and Boxian Tan. As of now, the company’s network connects more than 1.5 million shippers and 100 million recipients. Ninja Van team includes 61 000 employees, who support the delivery of more than 2 million parcels per day. Its clients base includes Watsons, Crocs, Fujifilm, etc. The recent funding will be used for building infrastructure and platform for optimization of e-commerce opportunities in the region.
