Lightricks raises $130 Million at $1.8 Billion Valuation for Design Software Industry

Lightricks is a company that develops apps for editing photos and videos. It comprises computer vision, computer graphics, and image processing while turning it into one product. The most famous app developed is Facetune.

The new funding round Series D was led by Insight Partners and Hanaco Venture Capital. Other already participated investors – Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Clal Tech, Harel Insurance and Finance, and Greycroft, as well as new investors Migdal Insurance, Altshuler Shaham, and Shavit Capital.

Lightricks was founded in Jerusalem by Nir Pochter, Itai Tsiddon, Yaron Inger, Zeev Farbman and Amit Goldstein in 2013. The story began with Facetune for iOS and Facetune for iPad launch. Among other apps developed are Photofox, Pixaloop, Quickshot, etc. Lightricks is the first app that started providing a subscription model on the AppStore. With the funding raised, the company is going to improve Facetune VIdeo, Videoleap, Facetune 2. “Our mission has always been to continuously strive to bring creators the most advanced technology and help them find new ways to express themselves”, said Zeev Farbman, co-founder, and CEO of Lightricks.
